Brand Story

Clothing found me early. I grew up in the Soviet Union, where choices were limited —
but my mother knew an atelier, where special dresses were made for me. The first
dress I ever designed for myself was for my elementary school graduation. I still
remember it. It never really stopped after that.

I grew up, discovered festivals, and couldn't help but wanting to dress uniquely — so I
began designing my own outfits. My outfits back then were wild and entirely
unclassifiable. People noticed.

I left my architecture studies for a life with fewer straight lines. Making clothes to sell felt
inevitable. My first collections failed spectacularly — but that's another motivational
story.

And then there was India. It didn't feel like a choice — it felt like a calling. I had a vision:
a workshop in the mountains, working with women, creating magic.
So I gathered 45 kg of laces and fabrics and another 20 kg of personal belongings —
like that, with 6 huge bags, little me went to a little village in India, knowing nothing, yet
following an unmistakable guidance.

Everyone said it was impossible — no one produced clothing there, no reason to go.
I went anyway. I knew something.
And somehow, impossibly, it worked. Many years later I was still working with the
remarkable people I found in that little village.

Those first collections were all fantasy — theatrical princess dresses, something out of
a fairytale. Each piece entirely unique, worked on for weeks. People paid thousands of
dollars for those pieces — my first real success, one I almost couldn't believe. And truly,
they were worth it.

Then came the earth. Tribal textures, lots of embroideries — this is when I dove into the
realm of ornaments. I realized that ornaments are codes — the most ancient human
language, and they carry energy.
My brand began to expand.

Soon I found a workshop in Nepal working with amazing organic textiles and vegetable
dyes — another wave of creation, another world opening up.
Magical jewelry and amulets made in Bali followed.

Now, some years later, I feel my brand taking a new breath — as I change, my brand
evolves. After years of earthy colours and tribal looks — my inner Queen needed to
shine again. I wanted to create something bolder, even sexier, but also really
comfortable and versatile for any occasion and environment.

Still rich with detail — still carrying that otherworldly thread — yet grounded in the needs
of a modern woman. Clothes that are comfortable without being simple. Feminine
without being too elaborate to wear.

Anuttara was always about bringing a touch of the mythical into everyday life — and this
will never change, though the shapes and styles might.
